Young People Matter Charity in partnership with Stockwell Gardens West Residents Ass. and the local Stockwell community are successful 2014 finalist in The People’s Millions. Our project, ‘Stockwell Matters’ will be put to a public vote on Monday, 24 November.
At stake is £46,602 to combat social exclusion & deprivation and build & deliver an assortment of community cohesion and engagement projects for: Youth, Seniors, Children, Women in Isolation & the diverse local community. A win for ‘Stockwell Matters’ allows work towards implementing better services in IT, youth & senior engagement, community safety & partnership networking and improved health initiatives for our Lambeth neighbourhood.
On Monday, 24 November ‘Stockwell Matters’ will be featured on the ITV London regional evening news programme. Telephone voting lines open from 9am – midnight. Mobile and BT landline votes will cost 15p. The viewing public can vote up to 10 times for ‘Stockwell Matters’.
Voting numbers will be available from 9am on the day of voting. The numbers will be available at www.peoplesmillions.org.uk as well as in The Daily Mirror. Numbers will also be shown on the ITV regional early evening news programme on the day of voting.
