Counselling, Helpline and Advocate Assistants

The Counselling, National Helpline and Advocacy Services provide free, confidential support for parents and carers of children that have been sexually abused. They are also available for over the phone and face to face support, throughout the year to support families and young people, whatever their need.

Established in 1992, they have seen a high demand for thier services and they are looking to recruit dedicated and enthusiastic female volunteers, who are available to offer comfort and reassurance as well as a range of information about the law to victims and families who may not know where else to turn.

Volunteering with Mosac will help volunteers develop important and desirable workplace skills whilst providing valuable assistance to people who often feel vulnerable, isolated and unsupported. Personal experience with child sexual abuse is not essential as full training will be given.Read more...
