News from the National Opera Studio
Dear friends and supporters
I am delighted to send you details about our events in May 2013.
I am thrilled to let you know that Unsettling Scores, our programme of scenes from contemporary operas, will be directed by Keith Warner and conducted by Nicholas Cleobury. An important element of our training programme is to give our trainees the opportunity to work with leading conductors and directors, so we are particularly pleased that two such brilliant and experienced artists will be guiding our trainees this year.
Please follow this link for details of the performances of Unsettling Scores, together with details of another special event in May – Silent Movie Magic – featuring our own repetiteur Laila Barnat. http://www.nationaloperastudio.org.uk/unsettling-scores--music-for-buster-keaton.html
If you would like to book tickets for either of these events, I urge you to do so soon. Almost every performance over the past few months has been a sell-out and we expect heavy demand for tickets for these events. To book tickets, please contact Alice Clayton, our Events & Membership Officer, on
As I am sure you know, we rely on donations to provide 50% of the funding that we need. We are launching a new series of membership schemes for people who share our vision for the development of exceptional artists at the start of their careers, and are able to match this with financial support. These schemes will also give you early booking opportunities for our sell-out events. If you would like to help, please follow this link to read details of the schemes. http://www.nationaloperastudio.org.uk/supporters.html
